Sponged Mermaid Tail Nail Art

Flash

Today I have some mermaid-looking nail art.  It was my first time sponging and I have to say, it was incredibly fun and easy!  It really felt like I was creating artwork on my nails, because I just kept sponging on more colors until I got the look that I was going for.  Unlike other forms of nail art...where if you mess up you have to swipe off the entire nail, this was buildable and foolproof.

I first painted on Sally Hansen The Real Teal as a base. I took a regular makeup sponge and ripped it until I had a messy corner.  Then I put a glob of polish on the corner and sponged away.  I did not sponge the glitter though, I just placed it with the brush.  I will attempt to remember and list all of the colors I used, I just grabbed a bunch that I thought would look good together and went for it.
