KBShimmer Teal Another Tail

Happy Friday everyone!  I have yet another pre-vacation mani, a polish I have worn before in this nail art post called Teal Another Tail by KBShimmer.  I love it that much that I have worn it again on its own.  Seems silly to say that it I have worn a polish again as if it were taboo or something (I have an entire bottle)...I just have so many ideas (and polishes) and the need to show different things here.

But this polish is WORTH IT.  It deserves multiple posts to showcase its splendor. It glows a purpley-pink from within and has a beautiful holo micro glitter scattered throughout. Different angles show varying shades in the polish, as shown by the differing angles of my pictures. It practically applies itself, I have two thin, smooth, and easy coats on, and in photos you can see some VNL but in real life you can hardly see it, and even when you can it actually makes it look good lol, kinda shows off how long my nails really are, which I am very proud of!

I didn't always have these nails to be proud of, so in the near future I will do a post of my nail care routine for anyone interested.

Thanks for looking!

Neon Nail Art with Color Club Disco Dress and All That Razz

Oh helloooooo!   I do apologize for the long hiatus...I just wanted to keep being in vacation mode :) BTW my trip was awesome and I'm definitely going back next year!

I was SO not about taking pics on my trip, since in the past I was a picture-taking fiend.  But I do regret it a little because I made so many new friends I wish I would have taken more pics with them...and of my two sets of nails I had done!  At the time I just did not want to be bothered.  Oh well no big deal I am over it.  On to NAILS!

This is a set that I did before my vacation with one of the Color Club polishes from my last mani here called All That Razz, and a fourth polish that I also bought called Disco Dress.

On my middle and ring finger I did the saran wrap technique, which creates a tye-dye or mottled look, and is totally easy and fun! I did it kinda backwards this time which was more messy and time consuming.  The easy way is to paint one color of polish, let it dry a little, then paint the other color of polish and use a small crumpled ball of saran wrap to remove the polish.  I used the saran wrap to apply the polish, which technically works but I did not allow the first color to dry all the way so it lifted up in areas.  But no worries, this technique is very easy to fish!  Just add some of the base color onto the saran wrap and dab away until you reach the desired result.

On my pointer and pinky fingers I free-handed four x's to create a kind of corset design.  I guess it would have made more sense if I would have made a bow at the bottom, but I think it still looks cool anyway.

Take one long and hard last look at this design because I SWEAR I will never do it again!  I am the WORST at free-handing designs because I get shaky and screw up, plus I am a perfectionist so this design kicked me in the ass and took FOR-EV-ER.  I must have redid all of the nails several times, I just could not get it right.  This is just not my kind of nail art.  Lucky for me there are a bajillion other types of nail art so I am not sad :)

I miss being on vacation but I am happy to be back to my nails! YAY.

Color Club Neon Skittle with Butterfly Water Decals

Happy Tuesday everyone, hope all of you had a wonderful day off yesterday for Labor Day.  I sure did, spend the day packing for my upcoming trip to Italy which I am leaving for in 2 days! YAY! So it might be quiet around here until I get back, but it might not...depends on how bored I will get on the airplane :)

Today's skittle nails showcase these beautiful Color Club neon minis I picked up from a recent trip to a beauty outlet. I have here All That Razz, a purple-tinged pink (middle finger), Youthquake, a bright coral pink (ring finger), and Warhol, a hot pink (pointer and pinky).  The butterfly and orchid water decals are some of my favorite and can be purchased on Amazon here.  After placing the decals I added a top coat of HK Girl.

The neons (as with most) are a little on the sheer side, but with three thin coats and the decals there was hardly any noticeable VNL.  They glided right on the nail and are so juicy and squishy I am so glad I bought all of them!  I've been staying away from neons and pinks because that combo used to be my go-to color before I got into polish, and had felt that now that I am a polish hoarder and addict, that I must always go with something different.  But I now remember why I loved it so much then, it is lovely against my skin tone, and I think pink matches pretty much everything! Does anyone else think that too?

I have been practicing different hand positions, angles, and lighting conditions and I think these are my best nail photos to date, I am very proud of myself! *pats self on back*

Off to Rome and Sardinia soon...ta-ta!
